ghosts and pumpkins

Dear TES Parents and Guardians,

The Tonawanda Elementary School Halloween Parade will take place on Thursday, October 31st at 10:15 a.m.

A reminder that this is a half day of school for students. Weather permitting, the children will parade outside the school in their costumes. In the event of light rain and/or inclement weather, the parade will take place inside the school.  The parade will last approximately 15 minutes. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend.

The following is the parade route:

  • All students will walk out of Door #1, the main door of the building.

  • Students will walk up the sidewalk towards Hinds.

  • Students will make a right on Hinds and then another right on Fletcher.

  • Students will then make another right on Gibson and go back into the building through the Bus Loop door, located on Gibson

Students can wear their Halloween costumes to school on this day. In an effort to keep our children safe during the Halloween festivities, children should wear appropriate Halloween costumes to school. Accessories and toy weapons should not be brought to school. Simple make-up may be worn, but please do not send make-up to school, as staff can’t apply it.  Please make sure that your child can walk without danger of falling when wearing their costume. Masks should not cover the entire face. If you have any questions about your child’s costume, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.

Just a reminder, candy and treats for classroom parties must be store-bought.
