Tonawanda City School District Main Office

Tonawanda City School District sits just west of the Niagara River in beautiful Western New York.

Our schools are minutes from the 6.5-mile long paved Riverwalk pathway along the Niagara River that extends to Downtown Buffalo. It's the perfect spot to enjoy your lunchbreak or go for walk, jog or bike ride after work.

We're also down the street from the scenic Canal Street, where you can enjoy music in the summer or grab a bite to eat.

Helpful Resources

We are TCSD!

Amanda Amigone, Elementary Band Teacher,I love working at TCSD because my students make my job fun and rewarding. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn an instrument brings a smile to my face every day. I am also grateful to work with an amazing group of educators. The beginning instrumental music program is highly supported by the 4th & 5th grade teachers. Their support of the program is a huge component to its success. The beginning band program is also very fortunate to have a beautiful new teaching space. I am a very lucky individual that not only gets to use the space first, but can attest that it has already enhanced my teaching capabilities and will provide many years of growth to the program.

Roxanne Walter, Second Grade Teacher, I am so proud and privileged to teach in the same district that I grew up in. I’ve been fortunate enough to see how our district has evolved through the decades; being more than proud to have been a part of that growth, by teaching here for over 22 years. In Tonawanda, we foster educational excellence and technology is state-of-the-art. Working as a teacher in Tonawanda is more than just going to a job each day. It is going to a place where you have opportunities for professional growth, community is embraced, and where you feel fulfilled and appreciated.

Jennifer Patterson, Library Media Specialist, As a library media specialist, I love working in the Tonawanda City School District because it fosters a supportive and inclusive environment, allowing me to make a positive impact on the lives of students while collaborating with a passionate team of educators.

Alexandra Moore, Third Grade Teacher, I am proud to say that I am a Tonawanda alumna, and now fortunate to say I teach in this district. I love working with such dedicated and helpful colleagues. I felt welcomed and at home as soon as I started my career here. It is very important to me to teach in a district that has strong values which is why I chose the Tonawanda City School District.

Riley Weber, High School Art Teacher, I love working at TCSD because of my students' enthusiasm and appreciation for art. Seeing students embrace creativity and develop a passion for artistic expression is incredibly rewarding. The dedication my students exhibit in their work serves as a profound inspiration for me as both an educator and an artist.

Renee Smith, High School Assistant Principal, have been with the Tonawanda City School District since 2011. Tonawanda is a place where I am happy and excited to come to each and everyday. I work with wonderful colleagues who value, like me, the importance and commitment to doing what is best for our students. Each day I am gifted the opportunity to have a positive impact on our students, staff, and community. Tonawanda has given me the support to continue to grow in my profession and values me as a person and as an employee.
